So, I forgot to post last week. Actually I didn't forget to post at all...I was too hungover to post. Yes boys and girls, I finally broke out of my baby prison and went wild. I had a blast. No baby to feed or change. Adult conversation (about babies of course). God I missed being out, but at the same time I missed my little monkey. I hated being away from him. Too bad its a major faux pas to bring a baby to a bar, I'd totally do it all the time. I'd do it now if Baby X's dad were okay with it. Don't judge me. It's all about multitasking now. Mom's need to have fun too.
Other than my exciting excursion, nothing major happened. Nothing that I can remember anyway. Nothing crazy exciting has happened this week either. X is growing fast. I'm not sure where he's at in the weight or length department, but the little guy is not so little anymore. To be honest, everything he does now is overshadowed by his giggles and smiles. Oh man am I a sucker for his smile. Aside from that he's pretty boring. Yes. I said it. Babies are boring at this age. They don't do anything. They eat. They sleep. They poop. Keep looping that and that's your day. SO MUCH FUN! Don't get me wrong. I love my little man bunches, but I can't wait for him to be more interactive and well...fun. I have so many activities planned for him once he's able to do more than fart, and a ton of outfits I want him to rock. Can't wait to finally be able to do X's OOTD. Stay tuned for that.
As I just mentioned, babies are boring, and because X is still too young, his first Easter was uneventful as far as activities go; I mean obviously he isn't going to be hunting for eggs since he doesn't even know what an egg is. While he did miss out on typical Easter fun this year, we did head to Torrance for lunch with some family friends from Hawaii. Although we didn't get to spend much time with everyone, it was nice seeing them and introducing them to X.
Another two weeks down in this parenting game. Even though I want X to get to a point in his life where he's more fun, at the same time I don't want him to grow too fast. I love being able to hold and cuddle with my little baby without him pushing me away...plus I have a ton of size 1 diapers still.
Well, my new boss is demanding my presence. Here are some of my favorite Baby X moments from the past two weeks.
